WHAT TIME I AM AFRAID - I WILL TRUST IN GOD

WHAT TIME I AM AFRAID - I WILL TRUST IN GOD

PSALM 56.3

AS I JOURNEY IN MY ELDER YEARS I AM QUITE AWARE
THAT THERE IS MUCH TURMOIL, STRESS, AND TROUBLES
HERE, THERE, EVERYWHERE I LOOK.

I AM TO TRUST

THE FIRST STEP TO TRUSTING
IS TO  HEED WHAT JESUS SAID
WHEN HE DECLARED:

ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN YOU,
SEEK, AND YE SHALL FIND,
KNOCK, AND IT SHALL BE OPENED UNTO YOU
FOR HE THAT ASKETH RECEIVETH,
AND TO HIM THAT SEEKETH, FINDETH;
AND TO HIM THAT KNOCKETH IT SH.ALL BE OPENED.
MATTHEW 7.6 - 7

ASK

When I was 5 years old, my grandmother made me
this little smock, and initialed my J D on it
How proud I was to wear it.

I remember asking lots of questions
when I was little.

And Grandmother
Mother
and
my Aunties
all listened
and would give answer.

Never did they
get upset at me if I asked
about something.

Mother too.
She was always ready to give
a cheerful smile.

Today I am thinking of how much
we need to remember to ask GOD
for His Will in our lives, for we
need Him more than ever.

Jesus said
If we ask
we will receive.

SO I GIVE THOUGHT TO YOU OF THIS -
THAT
WE OUGHT TO ASK
AND KEEP ON ASKING
UNTIL
THE ANSWER COMES.

What a joy it is to discover
the answer to something!

What privilege it is to A S K.

What a blessing to be able to S E E K

and yes,
WHAT WONDROUS THINGS
WE CAN
FIND
IF WE JUST START
KNOCKING
ON
THE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY.

My mother was the kind to smile,
and give me the opportunity
to ask, to seek, and to find

She knew that I was curious
about the world around me.

She gave me every opportunity
to help me learn how to
answer my own questions

YET
THERE
WAS
ONE
THING
SHE
ADMITTED

She said,
When you grow up, Junie, and you find out
who God is, then I want you to come and
tell me and I will also believe...

She gave me a big job
to do
as a little girl

I wanted to know WHO GOD IS.

So I thank the dear Lord God of
Heaven and Earth that He did indeed
answer my search.

One way that he helped me
was that when I visited Grandmother
and Grandfather in Cheshire Lake of MA,
at his cabin he built there, I would see
the Lake, and got to swim in it.

It was not very many times
I did that, but the few times I did were
so much looked for.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth,
and the life, no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me"  John 14.

This is one of many paintings I did.

You too can find things to do

You can ask, you can seek,
You can knock on the doors of
things you want to see, to do, to be.

                                      most of all, however,
                                      remember that WHEN YOU
                                      KNOW THE GOD WHO CREATED
YOU, YOU CAN ASK, AND HE WILL
HELP YOU, BE AND DO JUST EXACTLY
WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO BE.

                         IF I COULD,  I WOULD
                                IF I CAN   I SHALL
                                       I I MIGHT - I KNOW I WILL

                                   fly high
                                          see the sky
in an ocean of clouds above
                                   where the birds can feel
                                          the wind drafts
                                                  pulling them into
                                    The currents of updrafts that
will take them home to rest.

Here along the Bay in Drayton Harbor
I am able to walk and see the Sky with the clouds
overhead and the Birds in the water enjoying
the day.

With every wave and current
whether in the Sky above or in the Water before me,
the currents will flow and set to motion
everything around them.

There is a current of J O Y  to take us
along passing through the most
difficult oceans simply by going
with the flow.

WITH EVERY WAVE
THE RHYTHM OF LIFE SETS
TO MOTION

There is no other way to live as Jesus
would have us to live
except by His dear Spirit.
As a branch grows from a
tree, we are to grow from
little sprouts to large trees rooted
in the soil of God's dear Son's
provision - the sacrifice He made
for us - dying upon the Cross that
we might have our DEBT PAID

IT IS FINISHED - He cried.

DONE.
COMPLETED.
FULFILLED.

Yes.  Jesus came as the Light into the world
that mankind might find LIGHT.
Yes.  Jesus came into the world
as a little Baby so long ago
that we might
have SALVATION

Following Jesus
is made possible
when we come to Him and say,V
"Wash me clean, Lord Jesus,
Forgive me - a sinner, I pray.
Come in to stay."

Jesus said,
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
except a man be born again, he cannot
see the Kingdom of God."
John 3.3

Just as we are born as babies
into this world of ours
and grow,
so too
must we have
a second birth
a S P I R I T  birth

how is that done?
by believing
that Jesus is
the very One
He said He was -
The Son of God
It was Jesus Himself
that said "For God so loved the world
that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life."
John 3.16

Only after we are born
by faith in Christ Jesus,
can we start LOVING AND LIVING
AS CHILDREN OF THE FATHER.

I JOHN 2.25
AND THIS IS THE PROMISE  THAT
HE HATH PROMISED US, EVEN
ETERNAL LIFE.

I JOHN 2.23
WHOSOEVER DENIETH
THE SON HATH NOT
THE FATHER;
 BUT HE THAT ACKNOWLEDGETH
THE SON HATH
 THE FATHER ALSO.

I JOHN 4.19
WE LOVE HIM
BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.

COME JOURNEY WITH ME

My coffee cup and doughnut help me through my day, but most of all I pray that I may say words of comfort and hope to you along your pathway.

REMEMBER TO ASK, TO SEEK, AND TO KNOCK.
GOD WILL ANSWER.    YOU WILL BE LED ON A SURE
                                     PATH.

THY WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET,

AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH.

 Psalm 119, 105

THE LIGHT WILL LEAD US TO LIFE ETERNAL

AT GRAMMA'S HOUSE -ADAMS, MA

AT GRAMMA'S HOUSE  -ADAMS, MA

 by blogger June Estelle Cash

MOUNT GREYLOCK - VIEW OF NORTH ADAMS, ADAMS, MA.

HERE ARE MY AUNT RUTH AND AUNT PAT ON EASTER MORNING
1940.       I REMEMBER IT WELL.

HERE ALTHEA AND VIDA are on the steps.
I am not sure who the gentleman is.
This is the home my Grandfather built.
Moving as much as I did in my childhood, this home
was dear to my memory.   For it was here
as the FIRST GRANDCHILD
I received much loving care
from my
Grandmother, Lillias May (Brewer) Carpenter.
Born in the Memorial Hospital of North Adams, MA
I was linked to this town from 1933.

HERE I WAS AT AGE 5 - IN 1939 -
WITH A FRIEND
I AM ON THE RIGHT.

HERE AT ABOUT 18 MONTHS, I WAS AT MY GRAMMA'S HOUSE.

A SWEET MEMORY.

It was a day I remember.    Gramma had spent time with me inside before we went out in the garden.    I recall that she set two chairs together and put a clothesline by putting a little rope between the two chairs.   Then she set out little things, including boxes and items representing "pretend food".     She brought out her tea set, which she had saved from her childhood, a tiny set of cups and saucers with a little tea pot for the set.     Then showing me what they were for, she made me "CAMERICK TEA"  which was nothing more than hot water with a little milk and a bit of sugar.
I played with this and the little "kitchen" for some while.
I remember the oak kitchen dining table close by, and the chairs were taller than I.   I remember the large book cases with glass doors on each shelf that protected dust from collecting on the books.    I remember Gramma's soft voice, and encouraging words.
Never was she cross at me.
Her floors and rooms were immaculate.
She stuffed "everything" into cupboards and shelves away from anyone's sight.  It was "no one's business" what she had, she sniffed.
We went outside.    Gramma's garden was our next focus.   She showed me how to get beans off the plants.   She
visited with me.     I have the picture of that day -  Grandfather took the photos.   I was not to see this photo until long after I got married and lived far away - but I received the photo along with others from my Grandmother who sent the photos along with some other things she no longer needed.   There was a big box that came with clothes in it, and shoes, that I KNEW SHE HAD WORN. I remember especially a polka dot dress that she liked.  It was in the box.   Then down in the bottom of the box was all the PHOTOS she wanted me to have.    Ohhhh !   I remember crying, I was so touched that she wanted me to have them.

In 1987 When I visited Aunt Althea, she still had a few pieces of the tea set that my grandmother shared with me as her VERY FIRST GRAND-CHILD.   It was a precious memory.
I did not see Grandmother very much in my years of growing up, but had about two years to get to know her again in 1954 - 1955 when we moved to Sacramento from North Adam, MA.   We lived in a house right next door to her and Grandfather for that time until they moved to Arizona.

Here was Grampa with Stevie my cousin, Aunt Pat's son.
It was taken in the park at Sacramento Ca.   This was how I
remember him.     Then here is a photo of Gramma about that time also.

This was grandmother with me. This was how I remember Gramma.  Those shoes were sent to me in that very BOX I got with all the clothes and the photos.  I think Aunt Pat and others are on the porch.  So it must have been when all of us were together that day.   I remember Grampa's brother Uncle Bert being there. And the Lambs, dear friends, distant cousins.  Frank Lamb and his wife were dear to all of us.

Frankie Lamb as a baby

He was much loved by all who knew him.

Cousin Wesley Carpenter's daughter with her baby.

Relatives -  Shawn Noel Carpenter       Gertie (Carpenter) Noel.
                                       Althea Haynes                     Susan Whitener
                                       Althea Maynard                  Julie Pavia
                                      John Carpenter
                                      Paul Maynard

I WAS THREE YEARS OLD and living in Boston
at the time this photo was taken of the family.   Mother and Daddy and I were waiting for a BABY to come - which was my brother Harry Hunter Donato Jr.  born in 1937.

This was Harry Jr when we went to visit Gramma and Grampa the summer of  1938.   I was five and he was just born the previous November 26th.  So he was a Thanksgiving Day baby.

HERE WE ARE IN BOSTON, MA
MOTHER AND I WITH BABY .
1938  He looks like about 5 months old.
So this was March or April.

PROVERBS  16.9
A MAN'S HEART DEVISETH HIS WAY,
BUT THE LORD DIRECTETH HIS STEPS.

PROVERBS 21.6
TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO;
AND WHEN HE IS OLD, HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT.

PSALM 139. 1 - 3
O LORD, THOU HAST SEARCHED ME, AND KNOWN ME,
THOU KNOWEST MY DOWNSITTING,
AND MINE UPRISING,
THOU UNDERSTANDEST MY THOUGHT AFAR OFF.
THOU COMPASSEST MY PATH,
AND MY LYING DOWN,
AND ART
ACQUAINTED WITH ALL MY WAYS.

PSALM 139. 17,18
HOW PRECIOUS ALSO ARE THY THOUGHTS UNTO ME, O GOD!
HOW GREAT IS THE SUM OF THEM!
IF I SHOULD COUNT THEM, THEY ARE MORE IN
NUMBER THAN THE SAND.

WHEN I AWAKE, I AM STILL WITH THE.

AS I REFLECT ON THESE MEMORIES

MAY GOD GIVE YOU A SENSE OF HIS PLACE IN YOUR LIFE, EVEN AS HE HAS IN MINE.

AS A LAST PHOTO OF THE FAMILY
HERE WAS VI  ROWING, ESTHER
WITH PAT AND COUSIN GERTIE
I THINK THIS WAS ABOUT 1944.
NOT SURE.
THE ROW BOAT AND CHESHIRE LAKE
WAS ALWAYS A PLACE WE LOVED TO SEE.

HAPPY MEMORIES ON THIS FOURTH OF JULY COMING UP.

All the way, every day, He leads. -BIBLEBUFFJOURNAL99 - THE HOLIDAY SEASON

ALL THE WAY - EVERY DAY HE LEADS

ALL THE WAY - EVERY DAY

on a Walk I took this summer, a photo of
Drayton Harbor, Blaine WA

All the way, every day, He leads.
Old hymns are one way that I encourage my heart.   One of these hymns is Fanny Crosby's ALL THE WAY MY SAVIOR LEADS ME
All the way my Savior leads me,
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my guide?
      Heavenly peace, Divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell....
FOR I KNOW, WHATE'ER BEFALL ME, JESUS DOETH            ALL THINGS WELL !     FOR I KNOW, WHATE'ER BEFALL ME, JESUS DOETH             ALL THINGS WELL!

As we enter into the season of Thanksgiving and Christmas, for Chanukkah and joys of family, I encourage you that God knows and cares for you.    He delights in leading us on.

All the way my Savior leads me - Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial, Feeds me with the Living Bread,
Tho my weary steps may falter and my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me, Lo ! A spring of Joy I see !
Gushing from the Rock before me, Lo ! A spring of Joy I see !
