 SERMON _outline_

TEN  OF THE GREATEST THINGS in the BIBLE -

 JOHN 3. 16 - GOD's LOVE TOWARD US

THE RESURRECTION

ROMANS ch. 1: v. 1 -4

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,

called to be an apostle,

separated unto the

Gospel of God, (which

had promised afore by the

prophets

in the Holy Scriptures.)

Concerning His Son Jesus Christ

which was made of the seed of

David according to the flesh,

And declared to be the Son of God

with power,

according to the

spirit of Holiness,

by the resurrection

from the dead:

In this Paul declares

that the

RESURRECTION

is the

reality

of God's love

toward us.

Let us consider

His Love.

JOHN 3 .16

FOR GOD SO LOVED

THE WORLD,

THAT HE GAVE

HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN

SON, THAT

WHOSOEVER

BELIEVETH IN HIM

SHOULD NOT PERISH,

BUT

HAVE EVERLASTING

LIFE.

CONSIDER THESE 10

GREAT

TRUTHS

FOUND IN THE BIBLE,

KJV - THE HOLY BIBLE

1.  GOD SO LOVED

IT IS GOD Who has

taken the initiative.

I John 4.19

We love Him, because

He first loved us.

2. GOD'S LOVE was

demonstrated to

the WORLD

His Love included all of us,

everyone.

3.  GOD'S LOVE in giving

the gift of HIS ONLY

BEGOTTEN SON

The SON of GOD was

from everlasting ...

 John 1.1  In the beginning

was the Word, and

the Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

John 1.2 The same was in the

beginning with God.

John 1.3 All things were made

by Him, and without Him

was not anything

made

that was made.

John 1.4

In Him was Life,

and the Life

was the Light of men.

Think of it.

God the Father, who is

Spirit always was

with the Son

there never

was a time

when

they were apart.

The Holy Spirit

is spoken of in

God's Word the Bible

as "GOD."

When Jesus was born in

Bethlehem, he did

not begin then -

He "was from everlasting"

He Himself said in

John 14.6

I am the Way, the

Truth, and

the Life,

No man cometh unto

the Father,

but by me.

When asked by Philip that

He show them the way, Jesus

said "Have I been with you

so long a time with you , and yet

thou hast not known me,

Philip?  he that hath seen

me hath seen the Father,

and how sayest thou then,

Show us the Father?

Believest thou not that

I am in the Father,

and the Father in me?

the words that I speak

unto you, I speak not

of myself, but the Father

that dwelleth in me, He

doeth the works.

Believe me that I

am in the Father,

and the Father in me:

or else believe me for the

very works' sake.

John 14. 6 -11

4. God's Love is the Greatest

Possession of any thing

ever given to us.  HIS LOVE

is demonstrated from Genesis

to Revelation in that

His SON JESUS CHRIST is

revealed in the Bible

from cover to cover.

EVERLASTING LIFE

is the greatest possession

any one can receive.

It is available to
any
who
will receive
HIS GIFT OF HIS SON

5.  HIS LOVE IS FOR

WHO SO EVER

WILL BELIEVE

ON HIS SON JESUS CHRIST

John 1.12

As many as received Him,

to them gave He power

to become the sons of God,

even to them that believe

on His name.

6. THE GREATEST SIMPLICITY

that GOD has given us -

the SIMPLE

ACT Of

BELIEVING

to trust

to rely

to lean upon

to put my confidence in

SIMPLE

FAITH

JOHN 12.48 -50

He that rejecteth me, and

receiveth not my words, hath

one that judgeth him: the word

that I have spoken, the same

shall judge him in the last

day. For I have not spoken

of myself: but the Father

which sent me, he gave me

a commandment, what I should say,

and what I should speak.

And I know that His commandment

is life everlasting: whatsoever

I speak, therefore,

as the Father hath

said unto Me, so I speak.

John 8. 48 - 50

7. JESUS CHRIST has offered us

EVERLASTING LIFE -

TO BELIEVE ON HIM IS THE GREATEST

DELIVERY

of any promise

of any hope

of any prospect

IT IS THE SURE HOPE

IN A TROUBLED WORLD.

8.   THE GREATEST TRAGEDY

is to reject the SAVIOR

GOD"S GREATEST GIFT

is GIVEN

but He gives us a choice

He never pushes

He never chides

He only gives

the C H O I C E

9.  WE HAVE THEREFORE THE

GREATEST NECESSITY

TO  RECEIVE BY FAITH

THROUGH GRACE

Underserved

Unwanted

Disregarded

Disdained

YET

GOD STILL OFFERS

A N Y O N E

the Gift of Forgiveness

of Everlasting Life

IN HIS SON

 10.EVERLASTING

comes with

knowing

I as a sinner

need a Savior

 God gives this

FREE GIFT

that

when I accept the payment

of the BLOOD of JESUS

as my payment

for my sin

debt

He not only gives

me

THE SPIRIT

of JESUS

to dwell in me.

I no longer

am alive to sin,

but alive to God.

I no longer

am beholden

to

my old sin nature

the world

or the

devil

for GOD

IS

NOW

MY LORD AND SAVIOR

JESUS CHRIST

who

when Love comes

in

fear

goes out the door.

I John 5.4

For whatsoever is born

of God overcometh the

world: and this is

the VICTORY

that overcometh

the world,

even our

F A I T H.

We now have

two natures,

the old and the new

The NEW is LIFE

Life living now

in Christ.

The Greatest Gift ever given

GOD'S LOVE.

Romans 3.23

For all have

sinned

and come short

of the glory of God.

Romans 6.23

For the wages of sin

is death,

but the gift of God

is eternal life

through Jesus Christ,

Our Lord.

Isaiah 53.6

All we like sheep have

gone astray:

we have turned

every one

to his own way;

and the LORD

hath laid on Him

the iniquity of us all.

Luke 9.23, 24

And he said to them all,

If any man will come

after me, let him deny himself,

and take up his cross

daily,

and follow me.

For whosoever

will save his life, shall

lose it: But whosoever will

lose his life for my sake shall

the same shall save it.

I urge you to consider

that Jesus said

He is coming soon to

take HIS BRIDE HOME

TO HIMSELF

and that means

every one who

names the Name

of Christ who truly

believes

will go to be

with HIM...

ARE YOU READY?

Rev. 22.19

He which testifies

these things saith, Surely I come

quickly.   Amen.  Even so,

come, Lord Jesus.

Galatians 2.20

I am crucified with Christ;

nevertheless I live;

yet not I,

but Christ,

liveth in me:

and I life which I now live

in the flesh, I live

by the faith

of the Son of God,

who loved

me

and gave

Himself for me.

Galatians 2.20

AT CHRIST'S BIRTH - Sermon "ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS" Sermon by W. H. Cash Jr (1927 - 2012) LILACLADY JUNEBUG2 - Walking By Faith-I Keep Climbing

AT CHRIST'S BIRTH

Onward, Christian Soldiers!

TEXT
Ephesians Chapter 6: v. 10 - 18

10. Be strong in the Lord,

and in the power

of His might.

11. Put on the whole armor

of God, that ye

may be able

to stand against

the wiles of the devil.

12. For we wrestle not

against flesh and blood,

but against powers,,

against the rulers

of this world,

against spiritual

wickedness

in high places.

13. Wherefore take unto you

the whole armor

of God,

that ye may be able

to withstand in the evil day,

and having done all,

to stand.

14.  Stand therefore,

having your loins girt about

with truth, and having

on the breastplate

of righteousness:

15.  And your feet shod with

the preparation

of the gospel of peace;

16.  Above all, taking

the shield of faith, wherewith

ye shall be able to quench

all the fiery darts of

the wicked.

17. And take the helmet

of salvation, and

the sword of the Spirit,

which is

the word of God.

18. Praying always with all

prayer and supplication

in the Spirit, and watching

thereunto with all

perseverance

and supplication for all saints.

Ephesians 6.10 - 18 KJV Holy Bible

The Church no longer exists,

but the memory is

bright and clear

that it is

Christians

who must give out

the Good News

The Gospel of Christ

that He came to save

Sinners,

not the righteous,

and that in His

Power and in

His

Authority

we are to go forward

as SOLDIERS.

When we become His, and are saved,

we are immediately thrust

into a spiritual

battle.

Where before, we

had only

one nature, sin, and

no power

to break away from that.

When we become a

Son of God,  that

changed

for ever.

For ever only

has to be once

said, for

it is

for ever.

Joshua 1. 8

This book of the law

shall not depart

out of thy mouth;

but thou shalt

meditate therein

day and night,

that thou mayest

observe

to do according to all

that is written therein:

for then thou

shalt be

pr0sperous.

Joshua 1. 8

Jesus told the disciples

"He that believeth in me,

the works that I do

shall he do also;

because I go into my Father.

John 14. 12

Christians Soldier

need to know these

facts which

the Bible gives us.

I.  WE NEED TO KNOW

OUR COMMANDER.

*We are to personally know our
commanding officer.
*We are to receive our orders from
Him, and no one else.
*We are to exactly do what he
commands.

II Timothy 2.3 -4

Thou therefore endure
hardness, as a good soldier
of Jesus Christ. No man that
warreth entangleth himself
with the affairs of this life,
that he may please
him who hath chosen him
to be a soldier.

Philippians 3.10 - 11

That I may know Him
and the power of His
resurrection, and the
fellowship of His
sufferings, being made
conformable unto
His death; if by
any means I might also
attain unto the
resurrection
of the dead.

I John 5. 10 - 13

10. He that believeth on the
Son of God hath the
witness in himself: he that
believeth not God hath
made him a liar;
because he believeth not
the record that God
gave of his Son.
11. And this is the record,
that God hath given to us
eternal life, and
this life is in
His Son.
12. He that hath the Son
hath life; and
he that hath not the
Son of God
hath not life.
13. These things have I
written unto you that
believe on
the name of the
Son of God,
that ye may
know that ye have
eternal life,
and that ye may
believe
on the name of
the Son of God.

Psalm 27.8

When thou saidest, seek
ye my face; my
heart said unto thee,,
Thy face, O Lord,, will I
seek.

 Psalm 63. 1

O God: Thou art my God;
early will I seek Thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee.

I Timothy 6.12

Fight the good fight
of faith, lay hold on
eternal life: whereunto thou
art also called, and
hast professed a good
profession before
many witnesses.

Paul declared in his
letter to Timothy:
II Timothy 4.7

I have fought a good fight,
I have finished
my course,
I have kept the faith.

Jeremiah 7.23

But this thing I
commanded them,
saying,
Obey my voice,
and I will be your God,
and  you
shall be my people:
and ye shall walk ye in
all the ways that
I have commanded you,
that it may be well unto you.

Acts 5.29

Then Peter and the other
apostles answered and
said, We
ought to obey God
rather
than men.

II.  WE OUGHT TO KNOW
THE ENEMIES.

*Our primary enemy is:
*the world
*the flesh
*the devil

I John 2. 15,16

15.  Love not the world, neither
the things that are
in the world. If any
man love the world,
the love of the Father
is not in him.
16. For all that is in
the world,
the list of the flesh,
and the list of
the eyes,
and the pride
of life, is
not of the
Father, but is
of the world.

Romans 8.8

So then they that are in
the flesh cannot please God.

Ephesians 2.3

Among whom also we all
has our conversation in
times past in the lusts
of our flesh,
fulfilling the desire of
the flesh and of the mind;
and were by
nature
the children of wrath,
even as others.

I Thessalonians 2.18
Wherefore we would
have come unto you,
even I, Paul, once
and again; but
Satan hindered us.

*Other enemies Believers may
have to fight are:
*Ignorance
*Selfishness -need for
cooperation and teamwork
*Pride - basic sin .
*Doubt
*Fear - afraid of the unknown

II Timothy 2.15

Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman
that needeth not
to be ashamed,
rightly
dividing
the word of truth.

II Timothy 1.6

For God has not give us
the Spirit of fear;
but of
power, and of
love,
and of a sound
mind.

I John 4.18

There is no fear in love;
but perfect love
casteth out
fear:
because fear
hath
torment. He
that feareth is
not made perfect
in love.

I John 4.19

We love Him, because He first loved us.

III.  WE ARE TO KNOW
HOW TO RECRUIT SOLDIERS,

*We are to seek to reach out
to others with the
Gospel of Christ.
*We are to give each
person a responsiblity
to keep him busy.

John 12.26
If any man serve me,

let him follow Me, and
where I am, there shall
also my servant be:
if any serve me, him
will my Father honour.

IV.  WE ARE TO KNOW HOW
TO TRAIN OUR SOLDIERS.

*We each need to be trained in a
practical knowledge of the Bible.
*We must know how to use
God's Word in leading
another person to Christ.
*We must know how to use
God's Word to help others
as well as ourselves in
overcoming
difficulties.

II Timothy 2. 15

Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman
that needeth not
to be ashamed,
rightly
dividing
the word of truth.

II Timothy 3.16, 17

All scripture is given
by inspiration of God,
and is
profitable
for doctrine,
for correction,
for instruction
in righteousness:
that the man of
God may be perfect,
throughly furnished
unto all good
works.

Romans 10.17

Faith cometh by
hearing,
and hearing
by the word of God.

V.  WE MUST KNOW HOW TO PLAN
 FOR INVASION.

*Our conduct must be pleasing
unto the Lord.
*We must be faithful and steadfast
with our purpose and
objective in mind.
*we must not be terrified  or
upset by our adversaries.
*Look forward .
Press on.  Keep on keeping on.
Do not give out, give in, or give up.

Philippians 1.27 - 30

v.27. Only let your conversation
be as it becometh the
Gospel of Christ:
that whether I come
and see you,
or else be absent,
I may hear of your affairs,
that ye stand fast
in one spirit,
with one
mind
striving together
for the
faith of the gospel.
v.28.   And in nothing
terrified by your
adversaries:
which to them
is an evident
token of perdition,
but to you
of salvation,
and that of God.
v.29.  For unto you it
is given in the behalf
of Christ, not
only to believe on him,
but also to
suffer for His sake;
v.30.   Having the same
conflict which ye
saw in me and
now hear to
be in me.

Philippians 3. 12 - 14

v.12. Not as though
I had attained, either
were already
perfect:
but I follow
after,
if that I may
apprehend
that for which
also I am apprehended
of Christ Jesus.
v.13.  Brethren,
I count not myself
to have
apprehended:
but this one thing
I do, forgetting
those things
which are behind
and
reaching forth
unto
those things
which are before,
v.14.  I press
toward the mark
for
the prize
of the high calling
of God
in Christ Jesus.

THE WAY OF VICTORY

WAY OF VICTORY

        LILACLADY JUNEBUG2
bibleladyjunebug

TEXT:   ROMANS 5.1 - 13
A Sermon by Wm H Cash Jr
1927 - 2012
August 1958 First Baptist Church
Crescent OR  Evening Service.

5.1  Therefore being justified by faith,
we have peace with God
through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
5.2 By whom also we have
access by faith
into this grace wherein we
stand, and rejoice
in hope of the glory
of God.
5.3  And not only so,
but we glory in tribulations
also: knowing
that tribulation
worketh patience;
5.4  And patience,
experience; and experience
hope;
5.5 And hope maketh
not ashamed, because
the love of God
is shed abroad
in our hearts
by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us.
5.6  For when we were yet
without strength,
in due time Christ died
for the ungodly.
5.7 For scarcely for a righteous
man will one die: yet
peradventure for a
good man
some would even dare
to die.
5.8  But God commendeth
His love toward us, in that
while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
5.9  Much more than, being
now justified by His blood,
we shall be saved
from wrath
through him.
5.10  For if, when we were
enemies, we were
reconciled to God
by the death of his Son,
much more,
being reconciled,
we shall be saved by
His Life.
5.11   And not only so,
but we also joy in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ
by whom we have
now received
the atonement.
5.12   Wherefore, as by one
man sin entered into the
world,  and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men
for that all have sinned;
5.13  (For until the law
sin was in the world:
but sin is not imputed
when there is no law.

 Many professing Christians today are
unstable, uncertain, and constantly
seeking for "revival" but
in themselves do not have joy,
nor do they seem to know
victory over
the lust of the flesh,
the lust of the eyes,
and
the pride of life.
I John 2.15, 16
15. Love not the world,
neither the things that are in
the world. If any man
love the world, the love
of the Father is not in him.
16. For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life,
is not of the Father,
but is of the world.

II Corinthians 15.58
Therefore,
my beloved brethren,
be ye steadfast,
unmoveable,
always abounding
in the work of the
Lord,
forasmuch as ye know
that your labour is not
in vain in the Lord.

Our Lord wants us to be
fruitful, and constant.
Jesus told the disciples
"If ye abide in me,
and my words abide in you,
ye shall ask what ye will,
and it shall be done unto you.
John 15.7

Before Jesus went to the Cross,
he told the disciples
"These things have I spoken
unto you, that in me
you might have peace.
In the world ye shall
have tribulation,
but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the
world."

OUR FAITH IS THE
VICTORY
THAT OVERCOMES
THE WORLD.
1 John 5.4
Whatsoever is born of God
overcometh the world: and
this is the victory
that overcometh
the world,
even our faith.

LET US CONSIDER
THINGS ABOUT
OUR VICTORY

I.
IT IS A WAY OF LIFE

As "justified"
I have been declared
legally by God
through
the blood of Jesus
NOT GUILTY.

All have sinned and
come short of the
glory of God
Romans 3.23
is followed
by verse
24
which states
"being justified freely
by his grace
through the
redemption
that is in Christ".
\Our Saviour leads today
into victory

Jesus fulfilled everything
needed
for us
to live
this victorious life.
Psalm 55.22
Cast thy burden upon
the LORD; and He shall sustain
thee

Matthew 11.28 - 30
Come unto me
All ye that labour and
are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me,
for I am meek
and lowly in heart;
and ye shall find
rest
unto your souls,
for my yoke
is easy
and my
burden
is light.

As we pick up the yoke
Christ offers,
It is HE THAT
BEARS THE LOAD

Instead of focusing
on how big the load is,
let us
LET GOD LIFT OUR LOADS.

ROMANS 12.1,2
I Beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God
to present your bodies
a living sacrifice
unto God,
which is your
reasonable
service.
and be not
conformed
to the world,
but be ye
TRANSFORMED
by the renewing of
your mind,
that ye may prove
what is that good,
and acceptable,
and perfect,
will of God.

GALATIANS 2.20
I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless, I live, yet not
I, but Christ liveth
in me,
and the life
which
I now live
in the flesh,
I live
by the faith
of the
Son of God
who loved me
and gave himself
for me.

When a certain man was
carrying his bundle
on his back
down the
road
he was
struggling
with his burden.

A wagon driven
by a man who offered
to let him
ride with him
in the wagon.

The traveler
then got into the wagon,
and sat down.

Sometime later
the driver looked
back to see how
his guest was
doing,
and he noticed
that
the
man still had
the pack on his
back.

He did not let
go of it.

SO WE TAKE OUR LOAD
TO THE LORD
AND LEAVE IT THERE.

HE PROMISED TO
LIFT OUR LOAD
OUR
BURDEN
OUR
NEEDS
OUR HEART CRY
FOR HELP

II  VICTORY IN DEATH
Through Christ we have victory
not only over life,
but over death.

Isaiah 25.8 - 9
8. He will swallow up
death in victory; and
the LORD God will
wipe away tears
from all faces;
and the rebuke of
his people
shall he take
away
from off
all the earth:
for the LORD hath
spoken it.
v.9  And it shall
be said in that day
"Lo, this is our God,
We have waited for Him,
we will rejoice and
be glad in
His Salvation."

Y'SHUA
in Matthew 1.21
"Thou shalt call his name
JESUS for he shall save his
people from their sins.

Being dead to sin
and alive to God
Being justified
Being sanctified
we not only
are
IN POSITION
WITH CHRIST
IN THE HEAVENLIES

III. VICTORY IN THE FUTURE
WILL COME.

IN GOD'S EYES
WE ARE
ALREADY
SEATED
WITH JESUS
AT
THE RIGHT
HAND
OF THE FATHER.

IN GOD'S EYES
PAST
PRESENT
AND
FUTURE
ARE
ALL IN HIS HANDS.

JESUS IS CALLING US
TO FOLLOW HIM

HE HAS MADE THE WAY

HE DWELLS IN US
THROUGH THE
DEAR
SPIRIT
THE HOLY GHOST
WHO
WILL
ALWAYS
EXALT
JESUS
TO THE
GLORY
OF
GOD THE FATHER

In my next post
I will talk about
GOD'S VICTORY
