FAITH

Faith it is that sees the far horizon
That, bent beneath the load of care
Yet waits, looking for the
Answer to its prayer.
Through Faith it is that we can see
Through numerous tears
Amd laugh with joy to trust
His promise to His
Answers to our prayers.
Faith it is that sees the far horizon:
Yes, Ben beneath the load of care
We wait, looking for His
Answer to our prayer.
Yet Faith it is that gives us peace
Within while midst the fears,
We work and walk aright with ease.
He is our Peace, and
He answers our prayer.
SAVING FAITH
A person, man or woman may be Moral,
decent, upright, and
conscientious
and yet be
far from the holiness
of God,
or to feel free to
approach the
Throne of God for
answered prayer.
One may work and labor,
by the sweat
of their brow,
yet not
find
answer to prayer.
As Cain offered what he
had labored for,
it was not by faith.
Adam knew he was a sinner
separated from God.
God had clothed both
Adam and Eve
by the blood of
an animal that had
to be sacrificed
to give them
"covering"
for their son.
Now Cain and Abel came
as the book of Genesis tells us
to offer their sacrifice.
Abel offered up of the firstling
of his flock.
Cain brought the best of his garden.
Giving God the best
when God already showed
Adam and Eve
that ONLY by a
blood
sacrifice
of a living creature
could
COVER
their nakedness
before God.
Let's look at his
parents to see
what he was doing.
Remember?
They did not know
until they sinned
that they were naked..
So it did change them.
1.
They saw they were naked
2.
It suddenly occurred to them
"we need to cover
ourselves"
Until then,
they had walked
with the LORD
in purity
and
sinless
unawareness of
anything
but
God's Light.
Now they
were
"darkened"
and
felt
separated from
each other
and
from God
So they knew
they needed
a
covering.
What did they do?
they
made aprons of fig leaves.
God went looking
for
Adam !
Now ! God is GOD
and HE KNOWS ALL THINGS
so
WHY? was
He L O O K I N G
for Adam?
Because God knows
And God sees
And God wants
us to admit
where we are,,
He Went Looking
for Adam.
This gave Adam a
chance to
account for
himself.
Time is what we have
but
God is timeless.
He has placed us
in this world with
TIME
He created
He made
and
He completed
the world in
PERFECT MATURITY
and
gave Adam
and Eve
the right
to
choose
GOD is
GOD always was
GOD always will be
and
yet,
we have
just this life
to live
SO when Adam needed God
He hid from Him.
Now we know
we cannot hide
from God,
but we do it all
the time.
We find our
things
our
need to be met
our
habits
we like
and
hide
or
we
say
It is my right to do this
It is my thing
adn
we have lost
our way.
Adam and Eve
would have told
Cain and Abel and any other
children they had
of what God did.
In Cain's case
he chose to choose
HIS OWN WORKS
what he had done
for God.
In Abel's case,
Abel chose to choose
one of his treasures,
a living creature,
knowing
God required
"a covering of blood"
for sin.
His mother and father
surely had explained
it over and over.
They would never
forget
They could have died
right then.
Instead,
God substituted
a Living Creature that died
in their place.
So he clothed them
with the skins of
an animal
and they could see
GOD PROVIDED A WAY\
GOD still provides.
Jesus said to the disciples
John 14.6
I am the way
the truth
and the life,
No man cometh unto
the Father,
but by me.
John 3.16
For God so loved the world
that He gave
His only begotten Son
that whosoever believeth
in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3.17
Jesus goes on to say
For God sent not His
Son into the world
to condemn
the world,
but that the world through
Him might be saved.
As Abraham went out by faith
to go to a "land" where God
promised to lead Him to,
you and I
have the option
of
trusting God by faith
in the blood of Jesus Christ
offered once for all
sufficient
to cover
All sin.
John 1.29
...John declared ...
Behold ! the Lamb of God which taketh
away the sin of the world.
Again,
Jesus said in John 6.32 and 33
I am the Bread of life; he that
cometh to Me
shall never
hunger;
and he that
believeth on Me
shall never thirst.
Jesus is the Only One
who was
100 per cent GOD
and
100 per cent MAN
and
as such
was
our "one of a kind"
DECLARATION
OF WHO GOD WAS
AND IS'
AND ALWAYS
WILL BE.
Romans 3.23
For all have sinned,
and come
short of the
Glory of God.
Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is
eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Finally FAITh
COMES BY GRACE
We don't earn it
We don't deserve it
God gives us HIS CLEANSING
through
the B L O O D
that was shed once for all
for all time
for ever
to save any
who will trust Him
Romans 5.8
God commendeth His love
toward us, in that
while we were yet
sinners,
Christ died for us.
John 1.12
But as many as received Him
to them gave He power to become
the sons of God,
even to them that
believe
on His name.
Ephesians 2.8,9
For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and
that, not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God,
not of works,
lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 1.7
In whom ye have redemption
through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches
of his grace.
LOOKING UP TO GOD - I walk by faith
