TIME - GOD CREATED IT - IT BELONGS TO HIM

TIME - GOD CREATED IT - IT BELONGS TO HIM

                                                      by  June Estelle Cash
                                                        LILACLADY JUNEBUG2

JUNE ESTELLE DONATO back in 1936

Three years old.   I remember when I visited

Grandmother - she always fixed my hair -

I always felt so special when she did that.

Often she would take my hair and put it

up in rag curls - then comb it out -

I just was so LOVED by her.

TIME HAS GONE BY SINCE THEN

86TH YEARS
I KEEP ON CLIMBING HIGHER
WALKING IN THE PATHWAY
GOD HAS FOR ME
HOLDING UP THE LIGHT
FOR ALL TO SEE
FOR THE LIGHT 'TWAS
GIVEN ME
TO SHARE WITH OTHERS
THAT THEY
MIGHT FIND
THE LORD, THE LIGHT,
THE SON DIVINE
WHO DECLARED TO US
THE VERY IMAGE OF GOD
DISPLAYED
AS HE THIS EARTH DID TROD
HE CAME, HE SAID
TO BE THE LIGHT
THAT THOSE WHO FOLLOW
MIGHT HAVE LIFE.
HE CAME, HE SAID
TO GIVE HIS LIFE
A RANSOM FOR MANY
AND SO HE DIED
AND ROSE AGAIN
AND BEFORE HE LEFT
TO RETURN TO THE FATHER
HE SAID,
"ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME,
IN HEAVEN, AND IN EARTH,
GO YE, THEREFORE,
AND TEACH ALL NATIONS,
BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME
OF THE FATHER,
AND OF THE SON,
AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,
TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE
ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER
I HAVE COMMANDED YOU,
AND LO,
I AM WITH YOU ALWAY,
EVEN TO THE END OF THE WORLD.

MATTHEW 28.18 - 20

When Mother and Dad were expecting me, times were hard.

Today in 2019, Times are still hard.   It is a different
world than it was then.   A person could find a
shack, and live in it, really cheap.   These days, even to rent is almost out of consideration for a young couple.   About #1000.00 to pay the first month's rent - and then - many require a BACK RENT - of  $1000.00 just in case you leave in the midst of your lease -  add to that - a deposit for UTILITIES -
HOW MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOUNG COUPLES TODAY.
JUST THE FACT THAT THEY GET MARRIED
IS A MIRACLE.
AND A STEP OF FAITH.
TO MARRY
IS TO MAKE A VOW
A PROMISE

AND
HERE I AM
ALMOST 86 YEARS YOUNG

WHERE DOES TIME COME IN YOUR LIFE?
WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?

WHEN GOD CREATED
THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH...
TIME BEGAN.

GOD IS OUTSIDE OF TIME.
HE HAS NO BEGINNING
HE HAS NO ENDING
HE ALWAYS WAS
HE ALWAYS WILL BE

Hebrews 13.8
JESUS CHRIST, THE SAME
YESTERDAY
TODAY
AND FOREVER.

Psalm 90.2
FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING,
THOU ART GOD.

IN GOD'S REFUGE
by June Estelle Donato Cash
1957

In God's refuge is my soul
My shelter from the storm of
life's vicissitudes He takes the whole...

In Shelter strong He keeps my soul
Though darts of Satan tempt me sore...
He keeps me whole,
His strength is mine,
His present HELP is very sure...
through
Jesus Christ my Lord.

Refuge?   None but He can still the
Tempest down within my
Heart and soul, that peace within
To make me whole.

God's refuge is the blood shed for me,
My shelter He; That refuge, take
My friend !   He is your soul's best friend.

When I sit in a chair,
I by faith believe it will hold me up.
WHY NOT JUST SIT
IN FAITH
TRUSTING JESUS
He will hold you up.

JESUS SAID,
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD,
THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON,
THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH
IN HIM,
SHOULD NOT PERISH,
BUT HAVE
EVERLASTING LIFE.

ENTERING THE DOOR

ENTERING THE DOOR

Author - Blogger - Grandmother
LILACLADY JUNEBUG2

1935  -  I was two years old.
Located in Boston, MASSACHUSETTS
I was a born explorer.

Mother, Dad and I were in
one of these apartments, and
Dad was gone working,
and Mother would be busy.

She did "extra" work for
other people in the apartments
by cleaning.
While she did that,
I got to explore.

Upstairs, downstairs
and if a door
was not open,
I would pass by.

But if a door was open,
I would look,
and smile,
and
say
HELLO.

It seemed the folk I met
were all kind,
all curiously special,
and
different.
Not one was the same.

I would go back to Mother,
and she would say,
where did you go?
Did you stay where I said?
I said "Yes"
And then I would tell her
where I had gone.

The Brownstone Apartments have had a fine grand history.
I understand that when they were first built, rich people lived there.
Then, little by little, the apartments were divided up and
became smaller units which were rented out.

THIS WAS ME, JUNE ESTELLE

at 3 years  in the summer of 1936

YOU CAN "ENTER THE DOOR OF THE PAST" BY

GOING TO THE WEBSITE HERE

Later on when I got older
I would stay in this house
for a few days.  Grandfather fixed
a room in the attic for me to stay.

I could see the street light from the room.
At 8 years of age, I enjoyed it.

HERE  I AM IN GRANDMOTHER'S GARDEN

THE SUMMER OF 1935.

I THOUGHT I WAS A BIG GIRL.

THERE ARE MANY DOORS TODAY

AND NOW I AM NOT A LITTLE GIRL ANYMORE

BUT I STILL LIKE EXPLORING

I DO IT WITH MY BIBLE
I DO IT WITH MY COMPUTER.
I DO IT WITH MY HEART AND SOUL
READY TO
SHARE MY FAITH
IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

HOW I REMEMBER GRANDMOTHER
TAKING ME TO THE LIBRARY.

I DID NOT GO MANY TIMES

BUT WHEN I DID I EXPLORED.
I POURED OVER THE BOOKS

I REMEMBER ONE DAY,
I DISCOVERED THE BOOKS
IN THE UPSTAIRS

I ASKED THE LIBRARIAN,
"CAN I LOOK AT BOOKS IN THE ADULT SECTION"

YES, SHE SAID, IF YOU CAN READ THEM.

I REMEMBER BEING ABLE
TO READ
AT AGE 9  JUST ABOUT
ANYTHING I COULD GET MY
HANDS ON.

here is a map showing
the PEACE PORTAL DRIVE
that runs from BC Canada on
the border to Blaine and Birch Bay WA.

HERE WE SEE BIRDS VISITING MY YARD.
PEOPLE COME FROM ALL OVER THE U S A TO SEE THESE BIRDS
HOW SPECIAL TO HAVE THEM.

SO YOU SEE,  AT 85   I CAN NOT EXPLORE
PLACES MUCH ANY MORE, BUT
I CAN DO WHAT I CAN DO
AS I AM ABLE
FOR AS LONG AS I AM ABLE
GOD HELPING ME.

When I was a little girl exploring
in the Brownstone Apartments
It was amazing.   Mother  worked cleaning in many
of the people's apartments, and so I got to go with her as she cleaned.
People got to know me, and never
did I ever get scolded for it.

TODAY WE COULD NOT DO THAT.
WE LIVE IN A DIFFERENT WORLD THAN YESTERDAY.
TIMES ARE FASTER.
DIFFICULTIES LAY ALL ABOUT  US.
LIFE IS NOT EASY ANY MORE THAN IT WAS THEN,
BUT PEOPLE ARE NOT AS TRUSTING
AS THEY USED TO BE.

CHILDREN ARE AT RISK.
TODAY'S CHILDREN - MAYBE SOME OF YOU -
ARE AWARE THAT DANGER IS ALL AROUND US.

JESUS IS THE DOOR
TO HEAVEN.

JESUS IS THE DOOR
FOR THE SHEEP.

HERE ARE MY LAMB AND MY WINNIE THE POOH BEAR
LOOKING OUT FOR ME

NOW JESUS SAID HE WAS THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP.

THAT MEANS
as a shepherd sits in the doorway
of an enclosure
so that nothing can get to the sheep
or any of the sheep go out
He BLOCKS THE WAY

THIS GIVES
SAFETY
PROTECTION
AND
SHIELDING.

Somehow, as a child,
 I knew that SOMEONE
 WAS WATCHING OVER ME.
  I DID NOT KNOW WHO,
BUT I DECIDED AS A LITTLE GIRL
I WANTED TO KNOW WHO
IT WAS.

MOTHER TOLD ME,
JUNE,  WHEN YOU GROW UP,
AND FIND OUT WHO GOD IS, THEN I WANT
YOU TO COME AND TELL ME,
AND THEN I WILL BELIEVE TOO.

this was my Mother with her Mother
back when she was little like me,
and must have about three in this picture.
It was 1918.    Her birthday was in April.

This was my Mother with her Father -
 my grandfather  Forrest Raymond Carpenter
It was about when she was 6 or 7.
It was 1921 or 1922 in this photo.

MOTHER WAS A RED HEAD
SO AM I

ALTHOUGH MY HAIR IS NOT AS RED AS IT WAS

AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS WAS IN 1910
MY GREAT GRANDFATHER AND HIS WIFE
LUTHER WILBUR BREWER AND
VIDA MAY (INGALLS)
PLAYING CROQUET ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON
AT YORK BEACH, MAINE

NOW LET ME SEE.
HOW DO I SHARE WITH YOU
THAT MY GREAT GRANDDAD WAS
ALSO A RED HEAD

HE WAS A LEATHER TANNER WHO
WORKED ON HORSE EQUIPMENT IN LEATHER
AND ON THE CARRIAGES THEY PULLED...
HE WAS AN OLD TIME METHODIST
DEACON
ONE WHO REALLY BELIEVED HIS BIBLE.

THEY WERE A PART OF MY
MOTHER'S LIFE.

BECAUSE OF THEIR INFLUENCE
SHE LONGED TO BE "CHRISTIAN"
BUT DID NOT KNOW FOR SURE
HOW THAT WAS.

SO SHE STRUGGLED.

HERE SHE WAS TELLING ME
I HAD A JOB TO FIND OUT
WHO GOD WAS OR IS
AND THEN TELL HER.

THIS WAS MY MOTHER MANY YEARS LATER,
WHILE SHE LIVED IN LOS ANGELES CALIF.
SHE ALWAYS WAS MY BEST FRIEND.
SHE TAUGHT ME A LOT.
SHE TALKED WITH ME.
SHE UNDERSTOOD ME.

WHEN I WAS 24 - SHE WAS GOING A HARD TIME
AND CAME TO ME ASKING ABOUT GOD.
AND I WAS READY.   YEARS BEFORE, SHE HAD
HAD TOLD, IF I EVER FOUND GOD, TO
SHARE IT WITH HER.

FOR THE FIRST TIME SHE WAS
READY TO LISTEN.

AND THAT NIGHT SHE GAVE HER HEART TO
THE LORD JESUS
AS BEING THE ONLY DOOR
TO THE SHEEPFOLD.

HE IS THE SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP.

After that time we were very close.
This is what we both looked like
when she asked Jesus to be
her Savior, and
knew without
a doubt
that she was a child of God.

ROMANS 3.23.
FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT
OF THE GLORY OF GOD.
ROMANS 6.23
FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; BUT THE
GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUFH
JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
JOHN 3. 14 - 18
AS MOSES LIFTED UP THE SERPENT
IN THE WILDERNESS,
EVEN SO  MUST THE SON OF MAN
BE LIFTED UP THAT WHOSOEVER
BELIEVETH IN HIM
SHOULD NOT PERISH
BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD
THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN
SON THAT WHOSOEVER
BELIEVETH IN HIM
SHOULD NOT PERISH
BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

JOHN 3.3
VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO THEE, YE MUST
BE BORN AGAIN.

JOHN 14.6
I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE
NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER
BUT BY ME

It is Jesus who declared and stated all the
verses you see here in this post.   He claimed
to be the WAY....the DOOR … for the
Sheep to enter in.

HE SAID IN JOHN 10.7
"VERILY, VERILY,
I SAY UNTO YOU,
I AM THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP.

Again, John 10.9
I am the door: by me if any man
enter in, he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out,
and find pasture.

JESUS SAID THAT.
I BELIEVE HE IS WHO HE SAID HE WAS.
SO THE DOOR IS THERE.

HE WAITS FOR THOSE WHO
WILL COME
AND ENTER

YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.
ONCE YOU MAKE THAT STEP
TO ENTER,
YOU BECOME PART OF THE FAMILY.
THE SHEEP AND THE SHEPHERD
BELONG TOGETHER.

SOMEDAY
WE WILL BE TOGETHER.

UNTIL THEN,
WE ARE TAUGHT BY JESUS
THAT WE BELONG TO HIS FAMILY
AS HIS BROTHER, AND SISTER
AND MOTHER.

SO WE OUGHT TO BE
AWARE THAT THE LOCAL
CHURCH IS WHERE I START
TO LEARN TO LOVE HIM MORE
BY LOVING HIS PEOPLE.

When he asked the disciples
WHOM DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?

PETER ANSWERED AND SAID,
THOU ART THE CHRIST,
THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

JESUS ANSWERED AND SAID,
BLESSED ART THOU, SIMON PETER, FOR
FLESH AND BLOOD HATH NOT REVEALED THIS
TO YOU, BUT MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.
HE WENT ON TO SAY THIS:
THOU ART PETER AND ON THIS ROCK - I
WILL BUILD MY CHURCH -  AND THE GATES
OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT.

WELL MY FRIENDS,
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT IS
REAL IMPORTANT.

JESUS THEN  BEGINS TO
TELL THEM SOMETHING …
PAY ATTENTION FRIENDS
FOR THIS MEANS WHAT JESUS
MEANT BY THE ROCK ON WHICH
HE WOULD BUILD HIS CHURCH.

IT WAS THEN
MATTHEW 16. V. 21
FROM THIS TIME FORTH BEGAN JESUS TO SHEW
UNTO HIS DISCIPLES HOW THAT HE MUST GO
UNTO JERUSALEM, AND SUFFER MANY THINGS OF
THE ELDERS AND THE SCRIBES,
AND BE KILLED
AND BE RAISED THE THIRD DAY....
VERSE 22 TELLS US

THE ROCK WAS THE STATEMENT
PETER MADE IN FAITH
BELIEVING
THIS:
THOU ART THE CHRIST
THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

JESUS WANTS US
TO KNOW WHO HE IS
AND TO STAND ON IT.
IT IS THE ROCK OF OUR FAITH
JESUS IS THE MESSIAH (THE CHRIST)
THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

HE IS ALONE THE WORD
OF GOD
HE IS GOD
WITHOUT HIM, WE CANNOT SEE THE FATHER.
WITHOUT HIM, WE CANNOT SEE LIGHT,
FOR HE IS THE LIGHT.
GOD IS LIGHT
AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL.

JESUS SAID
JOHN 8.12
I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD; HE THAT
FOLLOWETH ME SHALL NOT WALK IN
DARKNESS BUT SHALL HAVE THE
LIGHT OF LIFE.

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.
I WILL POST EVERY WEEK
AS I AM ABLE
THANK YOU

AT GRAMMA'S HOUSE -ADAMS, MA

AT GRAMMA'S HOUSE  -ADAMS, MA

 by blogger June Estelle Cash

MOUNT GREYLOCK - VIEW OF NORTH ADAMS, ADAMS, MA.

HERE ARE MY AUNT RUTH AND AUNT PAT ON EASTER MORNING
1940.       I REMEMBER IT WELL.

HERE ALTHEA AND VIDA are on the steps.
I am not sure who the gentleman is.
This is the home my Grandfather built.
Moving as much as I did in my childhood, this home
was dear to my memory.   For it was here
as the FIRST GRANDCHILD
I received much loving care
from my
Grandmother, Lillias May (Brewer) Carpenter.
Born in the Memorial Hospital of North Adams, MA
I was linked to this town from 1933.

HERE I WAS AT AGE 5 - IN 1939 -
WITH A FRIEND
I AM ON THE RIGHT.

HERE AT ABOUT 18 MONTHS, I WAS AT MY GRAMMA'S HOUSE.

A SWEET MEMORY.

It was a day I remember.    Gramma had spent time with me inside before we went out in the garden.    I recall that she set two chairs together and put a clothesline by putting a little rope between the two chairs.   Then she set out little things, including boxes and items representing "pretend food".     She brought out her tea set, which she had saved from her childhood, a tiny set of cups and saucers with a little tea pot for the set.     Then showing me what they were for, she made me "CAMERICK TEA"  which was nothing more than hot water with a little milk and a bit of sugar.
I played with this and the little "kitchen" for some while.
I remember the oak kitchen dining table close by, and the chairs were taller than I.   I remember the large book cases with glass doors on each shelf that protected dust from collecting on the books.    I remember Gramma's soft voice, and encouraging words.
Never was she cross at me.
Her floors and rooms were immaculate.
She stuffed "everything" into cupboards and shelves away from anyone's sight.  It was "no one's business" what she had, she sniffed.
We went outside.    Gramma's garden was our next focus.   She showed me how to get beans off the plants.   She
visited with me.     I have the picture of that day -  Grandfather took the photos.   I was not to see this photo until long after I got married and lived far away - but I received the photo along with others from my Grandmother who sent the photos along with some other things she no longer needed.   There was a big box that came with clothes in it, and shoes, that I KNEW SHE HAD WORN. I remember especially a polka dot dress that she liked.  It was in the box.   Then down in the bottom of the box was all the PHOTOS she wanted me to have.    Ohhhh !   I remember crying, I was so touched that she wanted me to have them.

In 1987 When I visited Aunt Althea, she still had a few pieces of the tea set that my grandmother shared with me as her VERY FIRST GRAND-CHILD.   It was a precious memory.
I did not see Grandmother very much in my years of growing up, but had about two years to get to know her again in 1954 - 1955 when we moved to Sacramento from North Adam, MA.   We lived in a house right next door to her and Grandfather for that time until they moved to Arizona.

Here was Grampa with Stevie my cousin, Aunt Pat's son.
It was taken in the park at Sacramento Ca.   This was how I
remember him.     Then here is a photo of Gramma about that time also.

This was grandmother with me. This was how I remember Gramma.  Those shoes were sent to me in that very BOX I got with all the clothes and the photos.  I think Aunt Pat and others are on the porch.  So it must have been when all of us were together that day.   I remember Grampa's brother Uncle Bert being there. And the Lambs, dear friends, distant cousins.  Frank Lamb and his wife were dear to all of us.

Frankie Lamb as a baby

He was much loved by all who knew him.

Cousin Wesley Carpenter's daughter with her baby.

Relatives -  Shawn Noel Carpenter       Gertie (Carpenter) Noel.
                                       Althea Haynes                     Susan Whitener
                                       Althea Maynard                  Julie Pavia
                                      John Carpenter
                                      Paul Maynard

I WAS THREE YEARS OLD and living in Boston
at the time this photo was taken of the family.   Mother and Daddy and I were waiting for a BABY to come - which was my brother Harry Hunter Donato Jr.  born in 1937.

This was Harry Jr when we went to visit Gramma and Grampa the summer of  1938.   I was five and he was just born the previous November 26th.  So he was a Thanksgiving Day baby.

HERE WE ARE IN BOSTON, MA
MOTHER AND I WITH BABY .
1938  He looks like about 5 months old.
So this was March or April.

ANY DAY CAN BE CHRISTMAS - WHEN WE RECEIVE GOD'S GIFT

ANY DAY CAN BE CHRISTMAS -

 WHEN WE RECEIVE GOD'S GIFT

 GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS

Sermon by Wm. H. Cash, Jr. 1927 - 2012

Transcribed by June Estelle Cash  April 19,2018

 TEXT :   ROMANS 5: 1 – 11
1.    Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2.    By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3.    And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience,
4.    And patience, experience, and experience, hope:
5.    And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
6.    For, when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7.    For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8.    But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9.    Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11.  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the atonement.

IN CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS WE EXCHANGE GIFTS IN GIVING AND RECEIVING.  IN THIS MESSAGE, WE SHALL CONSIDER FIVE CHRISTMAS GIFTS THAT GOD WANTS US TO HAVE:
PROPOSITION:  THAT THE GREATEST GIFT IS JESUS.THESE FIVE WONDERFUL GIFTS ARE FOUND IN ROMANS CHAPTER 5: 1 – 11.

                                          1.    THE GIFT OF PEACE.

ROMANS 5.1  Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our  Lord Jesus Christ.       LUKE 2.13,14  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

2.    THE GIFT OF HOPE.

ROMANS 5.2 – 5.  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience, experience, and experience, hope. And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
TITUS 2.13 “Looking for the BLESSED HOPE , and the glorious APPEARING  of the great God and our Savior JESUS CHRIST.

3.     THE GIFT OF LOVE.

ROMANS 5.5, 8. And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us…..But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3.16. For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
4.    THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

ROMANS 5.5b. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
John 14.16 – 18. Jesus, speaking told the disciples : “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knowing him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  I will not leave you comfortless: I will be with you.”
5.    THE GIFT OF JOY
ROMANS 5.11  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the atonement.
John 15.11    These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
CONCLUSION:God has given us these five gifts.  As we look at the Birth of Jesus as a babe in the manger, let us remember that God loves us, and loves us unconditionally.
I John 4.19   We love him, because He first loved us.           Thank God for His Gifts to us of Peace, Hope, Love, the Holy Spirit (the Holy Ghost) and Joy.

Christmas begins in the heart.  It is not dependent upon “December 25” but it begins when I believe that God sent his Son for me, and that His Son came in love to show the Father’s love to me.

John 1.12 As many as received him,
to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name:
John 1.13. which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh
and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
 full of grace and truth.
             I John 5.11  He that hath the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

John 5.24.   Jesus declared “Verily, verily, I say unto you,
he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
 everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life.

             I John 5.11  He that hath the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
John 5.24.   Jesus declared “Verily, verily, I say unto you,
he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me,
hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life.

  1.          How wonderful it is to know that the Lord Jesus Christ who told Peter to cast his net to catch fish, after they had toiled all night and got nothing, and here they were, mending their nets, and he who knew nothing about fishing told them to CAST THEIR NETS OUT -   Peter said, well, I don't think it do any good, but I will.
Oh my !  Aren't we like that today?    The harvest is ripe for the taking, and we hesitate -  what if nothing takes the bait?  What if ?  We have so many reasons to keep us from the excitement of having a FULL NET THAT IS ABOUT TO BREAK so that Peter and his brother had to ask for help from the others on another boat.
The purpose Jesus had in coming to be among us was to manifest who the Father was, and is, and always will be.  He perfectly showed us in the Bible who our God really is, and how much He cares for us.
