DIGGING FOR TRUTH - RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD

                            DIGGING FOR TRUTH
                                            RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2.15

2 Timothy 3.16,17
All scripture is given by inspiration
of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, reproof,
for correction, for instruction
in righteousness,
that the man of God
may be perfect, throughly
furnished unto all good works.

ASKING ?

SEEKING ?

KNOCKING ?

MATTHEW 7.7,8
"Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you;
For everyone that asketh
receiveth;
and he that seeketh
findeth;
and to him
that knocketh,
it shall be opened."

BOOKS
AND
THE
BIBLE

ROMANS 10.17
TELLS US
"FAITH COMETH BY HEARING
AND HEARING
BY THE WORD OF GOD."

THE FIRST STEP IS TO TAKE THE BIBLE

AND BEGIN TO READ

           LEARNING FROM THE BIBLE
             BEGINS WITH READING IT.

          TO READ IT, CAREFULLY, AND
             MINDFULLY.

             I would recommend you begin
             with the book of John.

   John 20.31 tells us:
      And there are also many other things
       which Jesus did, the which if they
      should be written every one, I suppose
      that even the world itself could not
       contain the books that should be
       written.  Amen.

Psalm 19.
1. The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament showeth his handiwork.
2. Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night showeth
knowledge.
3. There is no speech nor language
where their voice is not heard.
4.Their line is gone out through the
earth, and their words to the
end of the world. in them hath he
set a tabernacle for the sun.
5. Which is as a bridegroom coming
out of his chamber, and rejoiceth
as a strong man to run a race.
6. His going forth is from the end
of the heaven, and his circuit
unto the ends of it;
and there is nothing
hid from the heat thereof.
7. The law of the LORD is perfect,
converting the soul: the testimony
of the LORD is sure, making wise
the simple.
8. The statutes of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart: the commandment
of the LORD is pure, enlightening
the eyes.
9. The fear of the LORD is clean,
enduring forever;
the judgments of the LORD are true,
and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they
than gold, yea, than much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
and the honeycomb.
11. Moreover, by them is thy servant
warned: and in keeping of them
there is great reward.
12. Who can understand his errors?
cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13.Keep back thy servant also
from presumptuous sins; let them
not have dominion over me:
then shall I be
upright, and I shall be innocent
from the great transgression.
14. Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD,
my strength, and my redeemer.

PSALM 119,105
THY WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET,
AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH.

PSALM 12.6,7
THE WORDS OF THE LORD ARE PURE WORD;
AS SILVER TRIED IN A FURNACE
OF EARTH, PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES.
THOU WILT KEEP THEM, O LORD,
THOU SHALT PRESERVE THEM FROM THIS
GENERATION FOREVER.

ISAIAH 50.10
WHO IS AMONG YOU THAT FEARETH
THE LORD, THAT OBEYETH THE
VOICE OF HIS SERVANT,
THAT WALKETH IN DARKNESS,
AND HATH NO LIGHT?
LET HIM TRUST IN THE
NAME OF THE LORD,
AND STAY
UPON HIS GOD.

JOHN 4.14
WHOSOEVER DRINKETH OF THE WATER THAT I SHALL
GIVE HIM SHALL NEVER THIRST; BUT THE
WATER THAT I SHALL GIVE HIM
SHALL BE IN HIM A WELL OF WATER
SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE.

JOHN 6.35
I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE: HE THAT COMETH TO ME
SHALL NEVER HUNGER; AND HE THAT BELIEVETH
ON ME SHALL NEVER THIRST.

JOHN 8.12
THEN SPAKE JESUS AGAIN TO THEM SAYING,
I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: HE THAT
FOLLOWETH ME SHALL NOT WALK IN
DARKNESS, BUT SHALL HAVE
THE LIGHT OF LIFE.

JOHN 10.9
I AM THE DOOR: BY ME IF ANY MAN
ENTER IN, HE SHALL BE SAVED, AND SHALL
GO IN AND OUT, AND FIND PASTURE.

JOHN 10.11
I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD: THE GOOD SHEPHERD
GIVETH HIS LIFE FOR THE SHEEP.

JOHN 10.14
I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD. AND KNOW
MY SHEEP, AND AM KNOWN OF MINE.
JOHN 10.15
AS THE FATHER KNOWETH ME, EVEN
SO KNOW I THE FATHER: AND I LAY
DOWN MY LIFE FOR THE SHEEP.

JOHN 10.16
AND OTHER SHEEP I HAVE; WHICH
ARE NOT OF THIS FOLD; THEM ALSO
MUST I BRING, AND THEY SHALL HEAR
MY VOICE, AND THERE SHALL BE
ONE FOLD, AND ONE SHEPHERD.

JOHN 13.33,34
A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE
UNTO YOU, THAT YE LOVE ONE
ANOTHER; AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, THAT
YE ALSO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
BY THIS SHALL ALL MEN KNOW
THAT YE ARE MY DISCIPLES,
IF YE HAVE LOVE ONE TO ANOTHER.

JOHN 14.6
I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH
AND THE LIFE; NO MAN
COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME.

JOHN 14.19
BECAUSE I LIVE, YE SHALL LIVE ALSO.

JOHN 14.26
BUT THE COMFORTER, WHICH IS THE
HOLY GHOST, WHOM THE FATHER
WILL SEND IN MY NAME, HE SHALL TEACH
YOU ALL THINGS, AND BRING TO YOU
REMEMBRANCE, WHATSOEVER I HAVE
SAID UNTO YOU.

JOHN 14.27
PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU,
MY PEACE I GIVE UNTO YOU
NOT AS THE WORLD GIVETH, GIVE I UNTO YOU;
LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED,
NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID.

JOHN 15. 1- 7
1. I AM THE TRUE VINE, AND MY FATHER
IS THE HUSBANDMAN.
2.EVERY BRANCH IN ME THAT
BEARETH NOT FRUIT, HE TAKETH AWAY;
AND EVERY BRANCH THAT BEARETH
FRUIT HE PURGETH IT, THAT IT MAY
BRING FORTH MORE FRUIT.
3. NOW YE ARE CLEAN THROUGH
THE WORD WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN
UNTO YOU.
4. ABIDE IN ME, AND I IN YOU.
AS THE BRANCH CANNOT BEAR
FRUIT OF ITSELF, EXCEPT IT ABIDE IN
THE VINE, NO MORE CAN YE, EXCEPT
YE ABIDE IN ME.
5. I AM THE VINE, YE ARE THE BRANCHES:
HE THAT ABIDETH IN ME, AND I IN
HIM, THE SAME BRINGETH
FORTH MUCH FRUIT, FOR
WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING.
6. IF A MAN ABIDE NOT IN ME, HE IS
CAST FORTH AS A BRANCH, AND IS WITHERED,
AND MEN GATHER THEM, AND CAST
THEM INTO THE FIRE, AND
THEY ARE BURNED.
7. IF YE ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS
ABIDE IN YOU,
YE SHALL ASK WHAT YE WILL,
AND IT SHALL BE DONE UNTO YOU.

I CORINTHIANS 15. 1 - 3
THE GOSPEL IN A NUTSHELL

1. MOREOVER, BRETHREN, I DECLARE
UNTO YOU THE GOSPEL WHICH I PREACHED
UNTO YOU, WHICH ALSO YE HAVE
RECEIVED, AND WHEREIN YE STAND;
2.BY WHICH YE ARE SAVED, IF YE KEEP
IN MEMORY WHAT I PREACHED UNTO YOU,
UNLESS YE HAVE BELIEVED IN VAIN.
3. FOR I DELIVERED UNTO YOU FIRST OF ALL
THAT WHICH I ALSO RECEIVED, HOW
THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING
TO THE SCRIPTURES;
4.AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE
ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO
THE SCRIPTURES;
5.AND THAT HE WAS SEEN OF CEPHAS, THEN
OF THE TWELVE;
